Seniors: Full Tuition scholarship available to any accepted student to the Rhode Island College Honors Program. Criteria: Top 20% of senior class/1200 SAT CR & Math. See Mr. Toro for details.
Attention Seniors:
The following scholarships are available in Mr. Toro’s office:
The Rhode Island Pilots Association has a scholarship for any student who will be attending college and is in training to become a pilot or is a pilot. Please see Mr. Toro.
Touro Synagogue Scholarship:
$500 scholarship-deadline-March 16, 2012. See Mr. Toro for details.
Cox Scholarship:
Criteria: Academic excellence, strong community involvement, expressed desire to pursue a degree in: communication, telecommunications, engineering or technology. Please see Mr. Toro. Deadline February 15.
Hood Sportsmanship Scholarship
H.P. Hood is offering a $5,000 college scholarship for student athletes. Hood will award three $5,000 scholarships to students in each of the six New England states for a total of 18 $5,000 scholarships. Students must have an 85.0 average or higher! Students must apply on line at www.Hood.com by February 1. Please see Mr. Toro for further details.
Attention Seniors of Portuguese ancestry: The Portuguese American Citizens Committee of RI has a scholarship application available. Please see Mr. Toro.
Attention Seniors:
The American Legion Scholarships (3 of them) are now available. You must have copies of a parent or grandparent’s military discharge papers. Please see Mr. Toro.

The Rhode Island Association of Admission Officers (RIAAO) has a scholarship available. Please see Mr. Toro for details.
Effective December 5, please note that teachers who have retired will have not have access to PPSD email and therefore will not receive your requests for letters of recommendation.
